Frequently Asked

What is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is the non-psychoactive compound found within the cannabis plant which offers relief to consumers without the “high” associated with it’s THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) counterpart.

What are the benefits of taking CBD?

CBD products offer consumers with the relief they are seeking whether it be due to chronic inflammation, symptoms of anxiety and depression, or pain. CBD is a natural plant-based approach to many of these ailments. While there is not comprehensive data to support these claims many consumers have seen visible changes when utilizing a properly dosed, consistent regime.

Will CBD make me high?

No, CBD is known for its non-intoxicating effects, while some may feel an uplifting effect that is not the same sensation as being "high."

How much CBD should I take?

Currently CBD is not regulated by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and as a result there are no official dosage recommendations.

Since everyone's body is different and your individual response to CBD will vary it's best to start with a low dosage and track your body's response increasing your dosage when it feels right to you.

Dosage depends upon one's weight, the condition you're treating, your individual body chemistry, and the concentration of CBD in the product you are consuming.

How should I consume CBD?

There are many different products on the market depending on what type of ailment you are looking to combat.

Edibles or infused-foods are a discrete way to try out CBD. It's important to note that this method is passed through your digestive system which may take a few hours to process also lowering the absorption to around 20-30%.

Sublingual products or tinctures are another discrete method that can be consumed under the tongue which is a quicker mode of absorption directly into the blood stream without by-passing through the digestive tract.

Topicals, lotions and salves can be applied directly to the skin to help with localized pain or skin conditions.

Combustible options include smoking CBD or hemp flower, vaping, or consuming concentrates. Smoking allows the CBD to go directly into your bloodstream allowing the effects to felt much quicker.

Full-Spectrum vs. Broad-Spectrum?

Full-Spectrum products contain all the cannabinoids found within the cannabis plant including both CBD and THC. Broad-spectrum products contain most of the cannabinoids, but generally does not include THC.

The "entourage effect" encourages the use of both CBD and THC to reap the full benefits of the plant medicine.

Will CBD come up on a drug test?

Possibly, because there may be trace amounts of THC in your CBD product. Current hemp regulations require THC levels to be 0.3%. If you are consuming high doses of CBD that could result in a false-positive on your drug test due to these low levels within the product you are consuming.

Since CBD is not federally regulated by the FDA there are no testing requirements for these products. As a result a product deemed "THC-free" may indeed have trace levels within it. In order to avoid these situations be sure to purchase from trusted sources that provide their test results to the consumer. If you are looking for THC-free products you'll want to look at "broad spectrum" options which contain no THC.
